Jim is head of Sales in North America for BestX.

Cochrane brings more than 25 years of FX industry experience coupled with a deep understanding of the institutional client segment.

Jim began his career in 1994 at Merrill Lynch as an analyst for emerging market local currency markets, specializing in structured products and relative value analysis. In 1999, He moved to institutional investor FX sales FX at Citigroup. He subsequently held similar roles at Deutsche Bank, RBS and Standard Chartered before moving to transaction cost analysis.

He began his FX TCA career when he joined ITG in 2011, acting as the senior product manager for the firm's FX TCA solutions. He became a thought leader in the industry, authoring several papers, and speaking at industry conferences about the benefits of preserving alpha by lowering trading costs. Throughout his career, Jim has provided currency risk and FX trading advice to institutional investors, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds and hedge funds.
